Overnight Ramp Closure On LIE Due To Bridge Maintenance
The Exit 38 ramp that connects the eastbound LIE to the eastbound Northern State Parkway will be closed overnight on Tuesday.
ROSLYN, NY — An exit ramp that connects the Long Island Expressway to the Northern State Parkway will be closed overnight Tuesday due to bridge maintenance work.
According to New York State transportation officials, the Exit 38 ramp will be closed from 10 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday. For access to the Northern State Parkway, motorists will be redirected onto Exit 39 and instructed to travel southbound on Glen Cove Road for about two miles.
Officials are reminding residents that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of a person's driver's license.
