'Paddle For A Cure' At North Hempstead Beach Park
Kayakers and paddle boarders can navigate their way through various courses to benefit breast cancer survivors.

The second-annual Paddle For The Cure fundraising event in Port Washington looks to benefit breast cancer survivors and supporters.
The fundraising event, which is organized by survivors, will be held on Sunday, Aug. 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at North Hempstead Beach Park.
Participants will paddle through 3-mile and 6-mile courses on paddle boards, canoes, kayaks and more. There will also be races for kids.

Twenty percent of proceeds raised will go towards Hope Pavilion Cancer Clinic of Elmhurst Hospital Center.
Kostal Paddle is participating in the event and will provide rentals for paddling supplies.
