Local students are leading projects from a Youth Climate Summit and water-sustainability “TED‑ish” talk to Baxter’s Pond field studies, clothing swaps, oyster education, and recycling campaigns that directly involve Port Washington schools and landmarks. 
• Karison Foods And Snacks Recalls Five Products (wlea.net) — A Port Washington-based company, Karison Foods & Snacks, has recalled several popular Indian sweets because milk is not properly listed on the labels. The 12‑ounce packages were sold in New York stores, and anyone with a milk allergy is urged to stop eating them and return them for a refund or call the company with questions.
