Port Washington Parking Dist. Adds Hours For Working Residents: Report

The additional Saturday and early Wednesday hours will help people purchase parking permits outside of standard working hours.

PORT WASHINGTON, NY—In an effort to make obtaining parking permits easier for Port Washington commuters and working residents, the Port Washington Parking District has added office hours, Port Washington News reported this week.

The office will open the first Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. until noon, and the first Wednesday of every month at 6 a.m.

“Working together with the Commissioner of Public Safety and the Port Washington Parking District, I am thrilled that we are able to offer these extended hours for our residents,” Port Washington Councilmember Mariann Dalimonte told Port Washington News.

“The Parking District is a vital resource for the residents of Port Washington, and we must ensure that it is accessible to commuters and families in need of permits. I hope that residents take advantage of these extended hours throughout the rest of the year.”
