Residents Brought To Safety After Fire Breaks Out At Long Island Condo Complex
Officers worked along with firefighters to get the residents out; no one was injured, Nassau police said.
NORTH HILLS, NY — Residents were rescued from a fire at a North Hills condominium complex on Thursday afternoon, Nassau police said.
The fire started at Acorn Ponds Condominium Complex on Chestnut Hill just before 3 p.m., and upon arrival, officers, with the help of local fire departments, brought the residents to
safety, according to police.
No one was injured, police said.

It is not clear how many residents were inside the complex.
The Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department, along with several additional fire departments, doused the fire, according to police.

The county Fire Marshal's office and Arson Bomb Squad detectives responded to the scene, police said.
The American Red Cross was called in to help displaced residents, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
