SEE IT: Port Washington Middle-Schooler Wins State Art Contest

PORT WASHINGTON, NY — A Port Washington 8th-grader has been recognized by a state art teachers group for her success in a flag-designing contest. Eliza Harnden, a student at Carrie Palmer Weber Middle School, took 1st place in the middle school category of the 2020 state Youth Art Month Flag Design Contest, the district announced Thursday.

She will be awarded $100 worth of art supplies for her efforts.

"Way to go, Eliza!" the district wrote in a congratulatory post.
