MANHASSET, NY — Brother Kenneth Robert spent 60 years at St. Mary's High School in Manhasset, where he was the "cornerstone" of the athletic program, the Catholic school said. The school will honor the late Marist Brother, who died in September, with two days of events, including an alumni hockey game at Christopher Morley Park on Jan. 27.

Robert taught French and history at St. Mary's before becoming athletic director, where he helped the school win several state championships during his 30-year tenure, the school said.

Maris Brothers are not ordained priests, but a religious order dedicated to Catholic education of young people.
