Summer Lifeguard, Recreational Aide, Laborer Jobs Available In TONH

The Town of North Hempstead is accepting applications for its lifeguard, recreational aide, and laborer positions for the summer season.

PORT WASHINGTON, NY — The Town of North Hempstead is hiring lifeguards, recreation aides, and laborers for the upcoming summer season.

Officials say the Town is seeking staff to join the North Hempstead team at any one of its six aquatic facilities, as well as its "Yes We Can" Community Center.

Lifeguards are expected to work at indoor and outdoor facilities, including pools and waterfront venues. They'll have the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer months for a salary of $16-$18 an hour.

All lifeguard applicants must have the appropriate lifeguard certification from Nassau County and possess a current CPR/AED certification.

Recreation aides will be responsible for recreational and enrichment activities at the "Yes We Can" Community Center Summer Day Camp. Salaries start at $15 an hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Laborers will perform a variety of manual tasks and duties at both indoor and outdoor facilities, according to officials. The pay starts at $15 per hour.
