T.J. Maxx Opening In Port Washington This Week

T.J. Maxx will open in the Soundview Marketplace in Port Washington on May 5.

The discount retail store, owned by TJX Companies which also owns Home Goods and Marshalls, will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on May 5.

Regular store hours will be 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.

According to the company, the new store plans to hire about 60 full and part-time employees.

T.J. Maxx said it will present a $10,000 check to the Littig House Community Center at Sunday's grand opening in support of the community.

The Soundview Marketplace has seen a number of changes recently. Last year, a small-format Target opened.
