Town To Host Free Virtual Valentine’s Day Craft Workshop For Kids
A special Valentine-themed craft workshop is set for Feb. 11 for children in North Hempstead.

Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board, in partnership with muddworks of Great Neck, are proud to announce a special Valentine’s Day themed craft workshop for children in North Hempstead.

The craft kit will feature a ceramic heart eye emoji and foam hedgehog to be constructed and decorated. Kits will be available to children, ages 4 to 8, residing in North Hempstead.
“Back by popular demand, the Town is again providing free craft projects for our younger residents to have fun with while staying safe at home,” said Supervisor Judi Bosworth. “With Valentine’s Day around the corner, this interactive program will allow children to show off their artistic side and enjoy these projects with their entire family.”

Beginning on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at noon, visit: YouTube.com/TownOfNorthHempstead to watch the step-by-step instructional video for the project.
Families can request the craft kits by calling 311 or 516-869-6311. The limit is two kits per household and the deadline to request a kit is Friday, February 5, 2021 at 5 p.m. or until supplies last. The crafts will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis and mailed to homes.
