Voter's Guide: Port Washington School Budget, Board Election

What you need to know for election day.

Those who reside within the area of Port Washington schools will vote on the district's $155,938,460 proposed budget for the 2018-19 school year on Tuesday, May 15.

The proposal calls for a 3.12 percent increase in spending over the current year and the tax levy increase is 3.15 percent, which is within the tax levy cap.

Residents may vote for three candidates to serve three three-year terms on the Port Washington Board of Education. They are: Elizabeth Weisburd, Nora Johnson and Lawrence Greenstein.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Carrie Palmer Weber Middle School, located at 52 Campus Drive.
