PORT WASHINGTON, NY--The Woodland Playground's grand opening is set for Monday, May 27, from 2-6 p.m. The playground is located at the Sands Point Preserve Conservancy. The ribbon cutting ceremony begins at 2 p.m., and children will be able to play for the rest of the afternoon.

Some of the features include a custom-designed cedar castle with towers, turrets, tunnels, a spiral slide, climbing walls, 75-foot zip line, swing set, rocker, spinners, tether ball and a huge geodesic dome climber. There's something for children of all ages.
On its website, the Conservancy thanked the Playground Committee Co-Chairs Karli Hagedorn, Chiara Mai, Stacey Satovsky, Roshy Vultaggio and the many Butterfly Ball sponsors for their vision and bringing the playground to fruition.
