4. You need to know if your train is running ... All weekend there are no No. 2 trains between Brooklyn and Manhattan. Take the No. 5 or R trains to nearby stations instead. Also over the weekend, Manhattan-bound No. 4 and 5 trains skip Eastern Parkway, Grand Army Plaza and Bergen Street, according to the MTA.

5. ... And if you have to move your car. Try to grab a Tuesday/Friday spot today because the next alternate side suspension isn't until Thanksgiving, on Nov 25, according to the NYCDOT.
