Take the No. 5 or R trains to nearby stations instead, according to the MTA.  As for alternate side, the next alternate side of the street suspension isn't until Tues., Nov. 7 (and Wednesday, Nov. 8) for Idul-Adha, according to the NYCDOT, so snag a Tuesday/Friday spot today.
