Free Wi-Fi is coming to Prospect Park as part of a plan to have 20 parks offer internet hotspots by the end of the summer.
Parks officials couldn't yet say when the service will come to Prospect Park, or where in the park it would be, but the hotspots rolled out today at Battery Bosque in Battery Park as well as North-End Playground in Joyce Kilmer Park in the Bronx and around the recreation center at Thomas Jefferson Park in East Harlem.
In a news release, city officials touted the service as a way to make it easier for New Yorkers to do things like job search. They also called it an incentive "to spend more time outdoors this summer."
