One More Reason Not to Drive to Barclays …

A crook smashed the window of a car parked on Dean Street and stole a bounty of electronics totaling $1,850 between Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.

The 53-year-old victim told police that he parked his car on Dean Street, between Carlton and  and Vanderbilt avenues, and went to a concert at Barclays Center at around 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 30. When he returned to his car later, around 12:10 a.m. on Oct. 1, he found that someone had smashed his rear driver’s side window and stole his iPad, iPod, e-reader and eye glasses.

Dean Street Burglary

A burglar broke into a Dean Street apartment through the skylight and stole cash, liquor and medicine sometime between Sept. 28 and 29.

The 47-year-old victim told police that she left her ninth-floor apartment, located between Sixth and Carlton at around 8:45 p.m. Sept. 28 and didn’t return until 2 a.m. Sept. 29. When she came back home, she found that a burglar broke into her home through the skylight, gaining access from the roof and damaging the window, and stole $120 in cash, her wallet, $80 in whiskey and wine and $150 in medicine. The crook left through the skylight.

Carlton Park Laptop Snatch

A thief snatched a laptop from am employee at a Carlton Avenue restaurant on Sept. 27.

The 28-year-old victim told police that her Apple MacBook was sitting on the counter while she was working at Carlton Park, on the corner of Flatbush Avenue, when at around 8:55 p.m., a crook snatched it and ran in an unknown direction. The victim told cops that the thief was a black man, about 25 years old, 5-foot-10, 140 lbs. with a ponytail. He was also wearing a blue baseball hat and a blue hoodie with tan-colored pants.
