PROSPECT HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A forum on gentrification and displacement planned for this weekend at the Brooklyn Museum has been rescheduled due to an air-conditioning outage.

The Brooklyn Museum will be closed through the weekend. As a result, the forum will now take place on July 24 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free with a ticket to the museum (which can be a donation of any amount).

According to the Brooklyn Museum, the forum will focus on "the effects of gentrification and displacement on New Yorkers, specifically communities of color," as well as "successful strategies led by people of color to protect and preserve their neighborhoods."

The day's main discussion will be moderated by housing activist Rob Robinson, who was formerly homeless in both Miami and New York City.

A variety of activists and artists will make up the guest list, including Elizabeth Yeampierre from Sunset Park's UPROSE, Imani Henry from the Brooklyn Anti-Gentrification Network, and Todd Ayoung from the Pratt Social Practice Group.

Small break-out sessions will be led by the day's guests, and musical performances will be offered by the youth rappers behind Monsters of Brooklyn.
