BB Gun Shooting Brings Top NYPD Officer To Crown Heights: Report
NYPD's chief of department is assuring residents that the shooting of a man wearing traditional Jewish clothing will be taken seriously.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A BB gun shooting in Crown Heights has drawn the attention of top NYPD officials after community members expressed their fear, Spectrum News 1 reported.
On Monday night, a 23-year-old man wearing traditional Jewish clothing was shot with a BB gun by a suspect in a moving car, according to Spectrum News 1.
The incident has frightened many residents, advocate Devorah Halberstam told the news station.

Rodney Harrison, the NYPD's chief of department, told Crown Heights community leaders that an investigation into the incident is still in its preliminary stage, Spectrum News 1 reported.
"We have a great team in place," Harrison said. "Mike Kemper, who's the borough commander here, he's put a task force of investigators in place to help investigate the incident."
