Beer Thief Slashes Brooklyn Deli Worker In The Face, Cops Say
A 22-year-old store clerk was sent to the hospital after he tried to stop the Crown Heights beer robbery, police said.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A Crown Heights deli worker was slashed in the face earlier this month when he tried to stop a man from stealing beer, according to police.
The clerk, 22, spotted a man leaving without paying at the Albany Food Corp near Albany and St. Marks avenues about 1:40 a.m. on Thursday, April 7, according to police.
The man took out a "cutting instrument" and slashed the worker in the face before fleeing the store, police said.

The man was last seen running into a building around the corner at 1008 Saint Marks Ave., according to police.
The deli worker was taken to Kings County Hospital.
