After Crown Heights residents raised a ruckus.

Just one day after Crown Heights residents, politicians and religious leaders called for the two-night Time Warp techno festival on Nov. 20 and Nov. 21 to stay out of the local Bedford Union Armory, event officials have agreed to change venues.
The massive rave will now be hosted at the 39th Street Pier in an industrial part of Sunset Park, just like it was last year.

“Out of respect to the community of Crown Heights and the concerns expressed by its leaders, the promoters of Time Warp have agreed to move the event,” Time Warp officials said in a statement.

“We appreciate the quick efforts of the city toward making the move possible, and look forward to working with the local teams that helped make last year such a resounding success,” they said.
On its Facebook page, Time Warp wrote:
“As techno fans, we are members of a global community that celebrates inclusion and equality. That spirit manifests at the local level too. Out of respect to the community of Crown Heights, we have agreed to move Time Warp US 2015 from the Bedford Union Armory to the spectacular site of Time Warp US 2014, just 5 miles away. The dates remain the same.”
Some festival attendees and Facebook commenters were happy to return to Sunset Park, but others immediately started grumbling about the change.
“Maybe you should provide us all with an Uber or Lyft promo code to make up for this?” one wrote. “Annoying,” another wrote.
Crown Heights residents had complained that the rave would pose a culture clash with the local community — and invite a wave of noise, trash and zonked young people to the residential area near Bedford and Union, besides. Here’s our original story on the outcry.
