Brooklyn Man Wounded in 'Dark Knight' Theater Shooting

Christopher Rapoza, 29, was grazed by a bullet in the back during the shooting at a screening of new Batman sequel in Colorado that left 12 dead and dozens injured.

In the wake of the horrific shooting rampage at a midnight Friday movie screening of The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, Colo., scores of victims and eyewitnesses took to social networking sites like Twitter and Reddit to share scenes of horror, chaos and panic with a worldwide audience.

One of those people was 29-year-old Christopher Rapoza — who goes by the handle "themurderator" on Reddit — a musician who once lived on Bergen St. near Franklin Ave.

"Christopher Rapoza of Prospect Heights/Crown Heights says he just happened to be in Denver and was inside the theater when gunfire erupted and he was grazed by a bullet to his back," said Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz in a statement.

Neighbors at the Bergen St. building said Rapoza moved out almost a year ago.

By his own account on Facebook, Rapoza said he and a friend had been at the midnight screening of the latest Batman movie, when a "psycho decided to open fire on the crowd."

Using Reddit, Rapoza shared dramatic photos of the wound to his back, including the blood stained shirt he wore at the midnight screening of the highly anticipated Batman sequel—complete with a round bullet hole.

Police arrested a suspect, later identified as Jason Holmes, 24, outside the theater where he allegedly shot 70 people, killing 12.

Holmes, , was reportedly wearing full body armor and a gas mask during the attack.

Rapoza told friends and family on his Facebook page that he was still "a little rattled but in good spirits at the moment" after receiving stitches at a local hospital for the graze wound on his back.

"Mostly we are concerned for the victim's [sic] and their families that didn't have it so easy," he wrote.
