Celebrate Giving Tuesday With A Crown Heights Bar Crawl
Your beers can help fight food insecurity at low-income schools on Tuesday.
CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — This Giving Tuesday, one Crown Heights organizations is inviting Brooklyn to raise a glass to fight food insecurity.
Seeds in the Middle, a group that works to improve food access to underserved schools and communities in Brooklyn, said in an email advertising the event that as a smaller charity, it's hard to get exposure during the annual donation celebration known as Giving Tuesday.
For 2022, they decided to get creative and host a festive night of drinks for the community with a bar crawl fundraiser on Franklin Avenue on Tuesday.

Since its founding, the program has served over 40,000 students in Brooklyn and helped distribute more than 150,000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables to food-insecure families across over 20 schools.
