Chase Bank on Eastern Parkway Robbed—Again
Armed thief makes off with $14,000 in second hold-up in less than a year.

For the , someone has held up the Chase Bank at the corner of Eastern Parkway and Bedford Avenue.
The latest robbery happened last Tuesday, Jan. 2, just before 12:44 p.m. when a man of about 40 walked into the bank and passed a note to a teller demanding cash, according to a police report.
As the teller was reading the missive, the man banged on the teller’s window with the barrel of a gun, and said “50s and 100s only and hurry up,” the report said.

The man made off with about $14,000 in cash.
This is at least the fifth robbery of an Eastern Parkway bank in less than a year.

On Feb. 9, 2011, a man in his 30s from this same Chase branch on Bedford Avenue. An arrest was eventually made in that case, police said.
On Dec. 31, 2011 on Washington Avenue between Eastern Parkway and Lincoln Place, making off with an unspecified amount of cash despite never having shown a weapon.

On June 7, a man was taken into custody after a on Eastern Parkway at Nostrand avenue.
