Crown Heights Man Killed In Brownsville Restaurant: NYPD

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A Crown Heights man was shot and killed inside a Brownsville restaurant Thursday, police said.

Eyon Johnson, 46, was found inside the restaurant where he worked, Miguel's West Indian Restaurant, at just before 9 a.m. as police responded to a call of a shooting.

Johnson had multiple gunshot wounds to his body and was brought to Brookdale Hospital by EMS workers, but was later pronounced deceased, police said.

Another man, an unidentified 45-year-old, was also shot and was taken to Kings County Hospital in critical but stable condition, according to officials.

According to the Daily News, both men worked for the restaurant and were renovating the space when they were shot by a man dressed in all black who followed them inside.

Johnson's superintendent told the Daily News that he leaves behind a wife and two children, adding that he was "a cool guy," and "a good tenant."

No arrests have been made and police said the investigation is ongoing.
