Crown Heights Mother Fatally Shoots Son In Head: Cops, Report
Vanessa Jenkins, 44, stands accused of fatally shooting Christopher Jenkins, 28, outside their Pacific Avenue home last month, police said.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A Crown Heights mother stands accused of fatally shooting her adult son in the head, according to police and reports.
Vanessa Jenkins, 44, faces criminal charges after the death of 28-year-old Christopher, who was shot outside their home on Pacific Street between Utica and Rochester avenues on Oct. 12 about 9:50 p.m., police said.
“I got shot,” the younger Jenkins told police, according to the Daily News. “My mother shot me.”

Medics rushed the 28-year-old, with gun shot wound in the side of his head and in critical condition, to Kings County Hospital, police said.
Vanessa Jenkins was arrested on Oct. 13 on charges of attempted murder, criminal possession and use of a fire arm, police said.

On Oct. 24, Jenkins died, police said.
The 44-year-old woman is being held on Rikers Island on a $1 million bond, city records show.
