Crown Heights Spot Named Among NYC's Hottest Cocktail Bars
Eater NY keeps a running list of the hottest cocktail bars in New York City. The most recent includes this spot on Prospect Place.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A bar on the Prospect and Crown Heights is one of the hottest places to get a drink in New York City, according to Eater.
Prospect Place's Bar Meridan is among the watering holes included on the food expert's Cocktail Heatmap, which offers a guide to the "hottest drinking dens of the moment across New York City." The heatmap has been in place for the past year and was most recently updated this week.
Only five bars in Brooklyn have made the list so far.

Bar Meridan was opened back in 2019 by Sage Geyer, who was known for his work at Williamsburg hotspot Union Pool and the Metrograph theater, according to reports from the time.
Here's what Eater had to say about the bar:
"This low-key spot calls itself a “modern corner bar for all of us.” During the day, it’s not unusual to find guests sipping cocktails with their dogs hanging out, and at night, for those choosing to sit indoors, there’s a gently lit room anchored by a horseshoe-shaped bar and vintage jukebox. A solid bar menu, which includes tomato pie and sardines on milk bread, complements a wine menu full of natty options, craft brews, and cocktails."
