Early Morning Murder-Suicide In Crown Heights: NYPD
A woman with a gunshot wound in her head was found in a car parked steps away from Prospect Park Friday morning, police said.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A woman and a man were found dead in what appears to be a murder-suicide steps from Prospect Park and Medgar Evers College, police said Friday.
Police said they found a woman in her 30s sitting in the passenger seat of a parked car at Crown Street and Franklin Avenue with a single gunshot wound to her head about 5:15 a.m.
Next to the car, an unidentified man, thought to be in his 40s, was found on the ground with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.

It appears that the man shot the woman before turning the gun on himself, and that a gun was found near the victims, police said.
Both were pronounced dead at the scene, according to officials.

Investigators believe the two were in a romantic relationship and the murder-suicide stemmed from a domestic situation, according to the NYPD.
