Finally! Snow Coming to NYC, With 2-3 Inches Predicted for Prospect Heights

MTA cancels track work meaning Q-train will run normally.

More than a month into winter, it looks like snow may actually be coming to Prospect Heights.

According to Accuweather about 2-3 inches of snow is expected in Prospect Heights beginning at about 1 a.m. and continuing until it turns to sleet and tapers off mid-afternoon. 

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the tri-state area from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m., predicting  wind gusts of up to 20 miles per hour.

Due to the snow, the Metropolitan Transit Authority has canceled most of its planned track work, meaning .

The Department of Sanitation last night that is extended through Saturday, with workers ready to hit the streets with plows and salt spreaders, according to DSNY.
