Fugitive Caught 16 Years After Killing Sister, Girlfriend: Feds

Andre Neverson Is accused of killing the women in Crown Heights in 2002.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN – A man accused of killing his sister and girlfriend in Crown Heights was arrested in Connecticut Tuesday after 16 years on the run.

Andre Neverson, 54, was taken into custody by federal agents who swooped on a home in Bridgeport.

Neverson, then 38, is suspected of shooting his sister Patricia Neverson, 39, in the head and stomach after the pair fought about money on July 8, 2002, U.S. Marshals and police said.

The next day, he allegedly abducted his girlfriend, Donna Davis, in Queens. Her body was found two days later in East New York.

On Nov 6, 2002, the man appeared at the home of another ex-girlfriend, armed with a gun and demanding to see his daughter, feds said. The woman's brother interrupted him and he fled.

He wasn't seen again for years and was on the U.S. Marshals' list of its 15 most wanted fugitives.

On Tuesday U.S. Marshals, acting on information, tracked him to the Bridgeport house.

“The United States Marshals Service is extremely pleased to have a violent criminal, who murdered two women in New York, off the streets of Connecticut after 16 years on the run,” said U.S. Marshal BrianTaylor.

He is expected to be transferred to New York City.
