BROOKLYN, NY — The Lefferts Historic House Museum along with the Prospect Park Alliance have announced its 2024 season programming.

The museum is open from June 1 through December 1 and provides free, family-friendly cultural programming for residents. This season will feature the work of Adama Delphine Fawundu, who will be the alliance's first artist in residence.

Fawundu, a multidisciplinary artist who has previously worked with BRIC, Columbia University, the Norton Museum of Art, and more, will create a monumental, site-specific installation called Ancestral Whispers.

“Art can be such a powerful tool for social justice, and for a dialogue about legacy, agency and creativity. When we have art in public spaces, we create meaningful opportunities for people to reflect on the beauty of the artwork in fellowship with other park users and with nature,” said Prospect Park Alliance President, Morgan Monaco. “Prospect Park Alliance welcomes the entire community to join us for the debut of our first Artist in Residence and the second season of our Reimagine Lefferts initiative."

Check out the museum's programming from June 1 to the end of August, below.
