Nassau Brewing Company, also known as the Budweiser Brewing Company of Brooklyn and Bedford Brewery, was a historic complex. It consists of two remaining industrial buildings dating from the 1860s to the 1880s. The brick buildings are two to six stories and form an "L"-shape. The buildings feature substantial underground brick vaults originally constructed for the aging of lager beer at near-freezing temperatures. The brewery closed in 1916. The earlier sections are vacant and the 1880s elements were rehabilitated as apartments and offices in the 2000s.
"We are very excited to launch the historic Nassau Brewing Company complex. It sits on such an integral corner lot in Crown Heights at Bergen and Franklin which will provide the community with 38 rentals and various retail options when completed," explains, Sorabh Maheshwari, co-founder, Churchill Real Estate. "We chose Living New York for the leasing based on their experience with uniquely repositioned assets in Manhattan and Brooklyn and for their outperformance on a luxury lease up at 517 West 29th - HxH Residences."
“We are excited to handle another unique and historic conversion project in Brooklyn,” explains Adrian Savino, managing director, Living New York. “Preserving such an integral part of the community and delivering more housing in a supply constrained market is going to be well received.”
