Man Caught In Crown Heights Bar Fight Turned Shooting, Cops Say
Troy Phillip, who is in jail for a separate robbery, has been charged with attempted murder for the Nostrand Avenue shooting, police said.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A man in jail on robbery charges has been connected to a Crown Heights bar fight-turned shooting from last summer, according to police.
Troy Phillip, who has been in prison since August, was charged with attempted murder this week for the shooting, which unfolded outside of Sweet Brooklyn Bar on Nostrand Avenue in July, police said.
Phillip, 29, had been fighting with another man outside the bar around 10 p.m. when the argument turned physical and he took out a gun, shooting the man in the left arm, according to police.

The 42-year-old man was rushed to the hospital in stable condition after the shooting, police said.
Phillip has been charged with attempted murder, attempted assault, reckless endangerment, menacing and possession of a weapon, according to police.

It was not immediately clear from prison records what incident led to his separate August arrest.
