Man Climbed Through Window, Raped Sleeping Girl In PLG: NYPD

Police are searching for a man accused of raping an 11-year-old girl in Prospect Lefferts Garden on Wednesday.

PROSPECT LEFFERTS GARDEN, NY — Police are searching for a man who is accused of climbing through the window of a home in Prospect Lefferts Garden and raping a sleeping girl, according to the NYPD.

According to the NYPD, the man entered the home in the area of Flatbush Avenue and Winthrop Street around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The NYPD said that when the man entered the home, he approached an 11-year-old girl who was sleeping and raped her.

The NYPD said the girl cried out for her parents who called 911. Police say the man fled through the window.

The victims was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.

Police have released surveillance videos and photos of the man they are searching for in connection with the rape. The surveillance video shows two clips, the first shows the man police are looking for walking in the area of Flatbush Avenue and Parkside Avenue as he puts a sweatshirt on over his tank-top. The second clip shows the man after the incident, walking in the area of Ocean Avenue and Church Avenue.
