Man Killed In Collision With Double Parked Car In Crown Heights: NYPD
The double parked truck was empty at the time of the crash, police claimed.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A man died in what police say was a collision with an unoccupied double parked truck in Crown Heights.
On Friday at around 11:30 a.m., police said they found a 48-year-old with severe trauma near Schenectady Avenue and Lincoln Place.
EMS transported the man to Kings County Hospital where he was declared deceased, police said.

Officials claim that the investigation thus far says that the victim was traveling southbound on Schenectady Avenue on a motorized scooter when he hit a lift gate of the empty double parked truck.
The man lost control and struck a divider, according to the NYPD's Highway Collision Investigation Squad, who is continuing to investigate the death.

Police say the operator of the truck was issued a summons for double parking.
No other updates were available as of Monday morning, but police say the investigation is ongoing.
