'My Love For Jay-Z Almost Killed Me': BK Library Exhibit Art Topples
A boom echoed through the Brooklyn Public Library on opening day of its mysterious Jay-Z exhibit when a piece of art crashed to the ground.

BROOKLYN — Artwork in the Brooklyn Public Library's new and mysterious Jay-Z exhibit plummeted to the ground and nearly hit a woman who came to see the spectacle on opening day, the startled fan told Patch.
“My love for Jay-Z almost killed me,” Shani Entzminger said.
A large boom echoed through the main library branch on Grand Army Plaza shortly after noon when a wall panel dropped to the ground.

Entzminger said she was walking near a hallway when the panel propped up on the wall dropped to the ground. She heard and felt a waft of air as the panel fell.
Personnel then removed a similar panel from the other side of the room, propped up with a metal bar and seemingly stuck to the wall with an adhesive.

A library spokesperson told Patch she wanted to figure out what had happened before making an official statement.
This was opening day for the exhibit secretly curated by Roc Nation to honor the iconic rap legend.
Brooklynites first noticed something new when Jay-Z lyrics appeared on the library's exterior wall.
The exhibit includes Jay-Z's clothes and awards, his entire discography, a replica of his recording studio, his favorite books and the sculpture on the cover of "The Blueprint 3."
Entzminger told Patch she is a huge, 20-year fan of Jay-Z and Beyoncé — she just recently saw Beyoncé in concert for her 40th birthday.
