Person Seriously Hurt In Crown Heights Apartment Fire: FDNY

The person was sent to the hospital but is expected to survive, fire officials said.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A person was seriously hurt in a fire on Crown Street on Tuesday, according to fire officials.

The fire broke out on the fourth-floor of an apartment building between Nostrand Avenue and Dearborn Court just after 8 p.m., according to the FDNY.

One person seriously hurt in the flames was sent to Kings County Hospital and is expected to survive, fire officials said.

The fire was under control about a half hour later at 8:42 p.m., officials said.

Its cause is under investigation by fire marshals.
