Woman Sucker-Punched In Random Attack At Atlantic Ave Station: NYPD

A stranger punched a 29-year-old woman several times in the face May 23 while she waited for a Q train, police said.

PROSPECT HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A 29-year-old was beaten in an unprovoked attack by a stranger inside a train rolling into Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center subway station, police said.

The attack unfolded May 23 about 8:10 p.m. while the woman stood on a Q train headed toward Manhattan, authorities said.

It's then that a stranger — as seen in photos and video later released by the NYPD — walked up to the woman, police said.

The stranger, unprovoked, punched the woman in the face multiple times, authorities said. The attacker then left the station before medics arrived to take the woman to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in stable condition, police said.
