Suspect Flees After Stealing Purse From Elderly Woman In Brooklyn
Police are searching for a suspect after an 85-year-old woman was robbed of her purse Friday afternoon in Crown Heights.

CROWN HEIGHTS, NY — Police say a man snatched an 85-year-old woman’s purse as she shopped on a Brooklyn street and have released photos of the suspect.
Reports show the 85-year-old woman placing her purse on the counter of a business at 243 Schenectady Avenue, in Crown Heights, around noon on Jan. 2. Shortly afterward, an unidentified man approached the counter and took the purse, which contained credit cards and about $380.
Police said the thief quickly fled on foot, heading west on Saint John's Place, and the suspect's whereabouts remain unknown.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
