$1 Movie Tickets Offered For Kids Films At Long Island City Theater

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — A Queens movie theater is offering $1 tickets to kids movies for nine weeks through the summer.

UA Kaufman Astoria Stadium 14 & RPX, located at 35-30 38th Street in Long Island City, will be showing two kids movies on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10 a.m between July 4 and Aug. 30 as part of the Summer Movie Express program.

"The Summer Movie Express is known for delivering top notch moviegoing experiences by showing family friendly movies at a great value," said chief marketing officer at Regal Entertainment Group Ken Thewes.

"This summertime tradition is about creating memories for kids and parents as they enjoy these movies together."

Below is the schedule. Both movies play on each day.

July 4 & 5 - Kung Fu Panda 3 and Ice Age: Collision Course

Jul 11 & 12 - Trolls and Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked

Jul 18 & 19 - Monster Trucks and Penguins of Madagascar

Jul 25 & 26 - Rio 2 and The Boxtrolls

Aug 1 & 2 - The Secret Life of Pets and Sing

Aug 8 & 9 - Kubo and the Two Strings and Ratchet and Clank

Aug 15 & 16 - The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water and The Adventures of Tintin

Aug 22 & 23 - Happy Feet Two and Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore

Aug 29 & 30 - Storks and The Lego Batman Movie
