  1. A 14-year-old boy was found dead in the yard of a home on Beach 67th Street in the Rockaways. Police suspect the boy was a victim of a nearby shooting the night before. Gunshots had been reported on Monday evening around 9:30 p.m. at Beach 68th Street near Almeda Avenue, grazing a man walking past the corner. Authorities believe the boy had been struck by the same gunshots and collapsed in the yard where he died after running through backyards. Anyone with information is asked to come forward. 2. Queens Together, a free-of-charge advocacy organization for restaurants, has joined the Queens Economic Development Corporation. The group says that the move will help staff deliver resources and promotion to local businesses while providing food to people in need. Queens Together was originally founded in March of 2020 when the city shut down due to COVID-19. The organization raised money to purchase ready-to-go meals for healthcare professionals and neighbors facing hunger during lockdown. (QNS.com)
