  1. Seven trains between Manhattan and Queens were suspended on Thursday during rush hour. The suspension was due to an injured employee at Grand Central-42nd Street who was in need of paramedics. The suspension lasted about 15 minutes but delays persisted throughout the evening. (Patch)
  2. A Queens shooting has left a 14-year-old girl with gunshot wounds to the neck. The incident also left two 18-year-olds with injuries. The victims were reportedly fired upon while walking along 188th Street in Queens. (NBC New York)
  3. Queens service volunteers were honored and recognized by New York Mayor Eric Adams through the 2022 Mayoral Service Recognition Program: Building Together for Tomorrow program. The volunteers were recognized during a virtual ceremony meant to highlight the work done to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. Nirmala Singh, co-founder of the South Queens Women's March, was recognized during the ceremony. (nyc.gov)
