  1. A Queens Catholic school was evacuated yesterday amid a bomb threat investigation. Police were called around 11:00 a.m. Monday to Saint Francis Preparatory School in Fresh Meadows for a report of a possible bomb threat. NYPD ultimately found the threat to be unfounded and the all-clear was issued at around 1:10 p.m. (PIX11)
  2. The Queens Museum has a new Director of Curatorial Affairs. Current Leading Curator Lauren Haynes will begin her new position in mid-July. Haynes' responsibilities will include managing the museum's curatorial and programs departments.   3. Congressman Tom Suozzi recently announced over $33 million in funding for environmental cleanup across Long Island and northeast Queens. Suozzi announced that his office has been able to allocate $33 million in federal funding with $31 million devoted to restoring Long Island Sound. Suozzi said he could devote that much money to improving the environment on Long Island and in Queens through community project funding. This funding "allows members of Congress to request funding to support specific community projects that will have the most real-life impacts in their districts." (QNS.com)
