Dead Body Found Behind Queens School, Police Say

UPDATE: The man was identified as a 43-year-old who died from alcohol use, according to the medical examiner's office.

FAR ROCKAWAY, QUEENS — A dead body was found outside a Far Rockaway middle school Tuesday morning, according to police.

NYPD officers found the man in a walkway behind 10-45 Nameoke St. about 9:40 a.m. after getting a 911 call reporting an unconscious person.

That address is home to Brian Piccolo Middle School and a Success Academy charter school for elementary school kids.

A police spokesperson confirmed the person was an adult but could not provide any further information about the body.
