Driver Held At Knifepoint In Attempted Robbery In Queens: NYPD

The two suspects pulled a knife on a man sitting in his car in Ridgewood but fled empty-handed when they couldn't get any cash, police said.

RIDGEWOOD, QUEENS -- The NYPD is searching for two men who attempted to rob a man at knifepoint in broad daylight while he sat in his car in Queens.

The 38-year-old man was parked in front of 1722 George Street in Ridgewood on the afternoon of Dec. 22 when the two suspects approached him from the driver's side of his car and pulled out a knife, police told Patch.

Cops said the two attempted to take the man's money but fled empty-handed after they were unsuccessful, leaving the driver with a small cut to his finger.

The NYPD released surveillance footage of the two suspects, both described as heavy-built men. Both were last seen wearing dark jackets, black winter hats, light-colored jeans and black boots.
