- The Duck Sauce Killer has been found dead of apparent suicide at his home. The man who was accused of murdering a Chinese Food deliveryman due to a grievance over duck sauce took his own life. In the suicide note, he asked prosecutors to drop their case against his wife, who has been accused of stashing the man's guns. (New York Daily News)
- A man is in critical condition after being stabbed and beaten during a late-night robbery this week. A surveillance video was released yesterday as part of the ongoing search for the three men who committed the crime. The stabbing and robbery happened between 107th and Sutter Avenues in Ozone Park around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday. - More than a dozen elected officials signed on to a letter supporting the QueensLink Subway Expansion. 15 elected officials and two community board chairs asked Gov. Hochul and Mayor Adams to fund an environmental study to fully understand the "challenges and opportunities" of the project. The MTA's previous feasibility study claimed the project would cost over $8 billion, while the supporters' report argued that the project could be done for $3.5 billion. (Streetsblog)
