- Yesterday was the final day of early voting in New York City for the 2021 election. Early voting polls across the boroughs were open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. as candidates vied for undecided voters. According to the New York City Board of Elections, nearly 135,000 people cast their ballot during the first eight days of early voting in the city. Anyone who could not vote early can still do so at their regular polling site on Tuesday. (WPIX 11 New York)
- A gun was drawn when a fight broke out on a Queens subway platform early Sunday morning. According to police, three men were fighting at the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue stop. A fourth man got involved and drew a gun, but did not fire it. Officers are still investigating the incident. (WABC-TV)

- The first renderings of 81-07 Kew Gardens Road, a new eight-story building in Kew Gardens, Queens, have been revealed to the public. The FBL Development structure will eventually comprise 48,000 square feet of mixed-use space, with 51 rental apartments and a ground-floor retail space. Construction has not yet broken ground on the site, which is currently a surface-level parking lot. (New York YIMBY)
- More than two dozen New York City firehouses were forced to close after firefighters refused to get vaccinated. On Friday, hundreds of firefighters protested Mayor De Blasio's vaccine mandate by taking sick leave. Among the 26 stations to be shut down, three of them were located in Queens. The city has put out a call for volunteer firefighters to avoid further closures and workforce shortages among the FDNY. (Daily Mail)
