Empire BlueCross BlueShield To Open New Community Center In Queens
The purpose of the center is to address health inequality concerns in the Flushing community, according to the healthcare provider.

QUEENS, NY — Empire BlueCross BlueShield is unveiling a new community service center in Flushing on Friday at 1 p.m.
The Center will serve as a one-stop-shop for a wide range of information and resources, including access to healthcare, social/financial supports, innovative technology and more, according to the health provider.
The purpose of the center is to support Empire BlueCross' ongoing efforts to combat health inequality in underserved neighborhoods by increasing access to resources and providing innovative and simplified healthcare solutions across New York.

The grand opening, which will be at 138-31 39th Ave., will feature a ribbon cutting, open house and various cultural activities. Leaders from Empire and other community partners will discuss opportunities the center offers.
