EMT Indicted After Boozy, Spicy Buys With Stolen Credit Card: DA
Robert Marshall, 29, faces amped up charges after a grand jury indicted him this week, prosecutors said.

NEW YORK CITY — A New York City medic accused of buying champagne and Buffalo Wild Wings with a patient's stolen credit card faces even spicier legal trouble, prosecutors said.
A grand jury indicted Robert Marshall, 29, this week on a slew of criminal charges that could send him to prison for up to seven years, according to the Queens District Attorney's office.
Marshall, an EMT with the FDNY, previously faced charges that carried a four-year maximum, authorities said.

The amped-up, 12-count indictment stems from accusations that Marshall swiped a credit card from a 79-year-old woman who he took the hospital from her Springfield Gardens home.
“This first responder allegedly used the medical crisis of a senior citizen as an opportunity to steal and indulge himself," said Melinda Katz, Queens District Attorney, in a statement.

Authorities said the woman checked her purse days after the hospital visit and found that a red debit card was missing.
NYPD investigators soon found surveillance footage of Marshall walking into a Queens liquor store Aug. 8, the day of the ambulance call, about 6:50 p.m., authorities said.
Marshall used the card to buy two bottles of Moet champagne and Buffalo Wild Wings, as well as other charges at a brick oven pizzeria, a Key Food grocery store and a laundromat, prosecutors said.
