Here are the top three stories today in Queens:
- Fewer than 90,000 NYC voters took part in early voting ahead of today's election. According to the Board of Elections, 86,890 voter check-ins took place across the city, which represents about 2.2% of the total voting population. Polling places will be open today from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for voters to select primary candidates in the gubernatorial and Assembly primaries. (AMNY)
- Four people were injured in a four-vehicle crash on the Belt Parkway early Monday morning. According to police, the incident happened near Cohancy Street, by exit 17-W around 1:30 a.m. Police say the victims include an unidentified man, a man in his 50s, and two women in their 20s. As of Monday afternoon, there is no word on their condition. (NBC New York)
- 60 firefighters from FDNY worked to put out a fire on the edge of Forest Hills on Monday morning. According to FDNY, the fire began around 4:30 a.m. at Silver Spoon Diner on Junction Boulevard near 59th Avenue. The diner was closed at the time of the fire, and no one was injured. (Patch)
