Fire Engulfs 2 Arverne Homes In Flames: FDNY

ARVERNE, QUEENS — A fire engulfed two Arverne homes in flames Friday afternoon, according to the FDNY.

The blaze broke out just after 4 p.m. on Beach 68th Street by Elizabeth Avenue, a Fire Department spokesperson said. The fire soon spread to the home next door.

More than 100 firefighters and EMS personnel are on scene battling the blaze, the FDNY said.

Two firefighters have suffered minor injuries, the spokesperson said.
